Mouse Control
Pestec provides reduced risk pest control for mice through integrated pest management methods. Pestec only uses rodenticides as a last resort, preferring non-toxic methods for mice management. We believe the best methods for eliminating mice pest problems is through sanitation and exclusion. Our three part response provides effective pest management and operates as a collaborative effort between Pestec and our clients. Each of these six elements is essential for effective mice population management.
- 1. Inspection
- 2. Trapping
- 3. Structural repair
- 4. Habitat modification
- 5. Exclusion
- 6. Sanitation
Pestec provides a three visit mice management service using innovative integrated pest management techniques. The three visit service will consist of an inspection and trapping. During the first visit our technicians will inspect our customer's property for evidence of mice activity inside and outside and develop a trapping plan for eliminating the mice. Mice are very inquisitive creatures so a follow-up will occur within 48 hours, more than enough time to catch them.
If the mouse problem remains after the first two initial visits, a more robust trapping plan will be put in place, and our technicians will return for a third assurance visit to insure that a mouse population has been eliminated. Rarely is a fourth visit necessary.
Whith our three visit mice management service, Pestec provides our customers with a report including our inspection notes, the effectiveness of our trapping plan, and a list of recommended structural repairs, habitat modifications and sanitation measures. This report will also include an estimate for these modifications, which are necessary for rodent-proofing our customers property and building.
By not using rodent poisons Pestec prevents the potential for secondary poisoning of non-target species such as predatory birds or pets. This is a must for our partners such as the City of Brisbane and their gopher and rodent catching friends. For more information on secondary poisoning and the risk to our predatory friends please visit the Hungry Owl Project.
